Michael Huttner is a political strategist and entrepreneur and the President of the Huttner Group, Inc. with offices in Boulder, New York City, and Washington, DC. He is an expert on all aspects of building political organizations including board development, fundraising, and communications. Michael also is the founder of ProgressNow, a network of 22 state-based organizations that informs and moves people to action for progressive solutions through communications and new media.
As a private political consultant, Michael helped spearhead Colorado’s legislative efforts in 2004. He has taught Legislation and Lobbying as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver College of Law. Before going into private practice, he worked as Policy Advisor to Governor Roy Romer and before returning to Denver he clerked at the White House for the Office of the Counsel to the President.
Michael earned his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University. He lives in Boulder, Colorado with his wife Debbie, who founded the Wellness Initiative to teach yoga and mediation to low-income elementary school students.
